From level iiia to level iv you can be confident that rma s nij certified and compliant hard armor will do the job. Polyethylene plates weigh between two to five pounds which make them lighter in comparison to steel and up to seventy percent lighter compared to ceramic plates. The difference in body fatigue is drastic making ceramic the preferred choice for sustained operations.

At armor plates weigh as little as 4 pounds each in contrast to steel plates that often weigh in the 8 to 9 pound range. With polyethylene plating in some cases when they stand alone there is no requirement for any backing material such as aramid. Shop body armor plates ideal for use in law enforcement and security management. Poly monolithic materials allow the plates to be thinner and reinforced to stop many armor piercing threats.
